Skaraborg District Court is a medium-sized district court with approximately 55 employees. Together with other courts in the country, the district court forms the foundation of the judiciary and is a cornerstone of the democratic society. We are located in modern and bright premises in central Skövde, close to the travel center.
The district court strives to be an open and modern workplace with engaged employees. Skaraborg District Court has two case units that handle criminal cases, civil cases, and matters, as well as a service unit responsible for administration, reception, and registration of new cases.

The work involves
As a court administrator, you will be part of a team with your colleagues in the case unit that prepares cases and matters. This includes, among other things:
- setting cases for hearings
- receiving and registering documents
- gathering opinions and supplements from the parties
- monitoring deadlines, issuing judgments and decisions
- may take minutes during hearings, especially in criminal cases
- having frequent contact with parties, representatives, authorities, and citizens via phone and email.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with the court's lawyers and is varied, responsible, and involves independent decision-making in the preparatory work.
We are looking for someone who
- has a completed upper secondary education with a diploma/certificate
- has several years of work experience in administrative work or relevant experience for the position
- expresses themselves well in Swedish both orally and in writing and communicates clearly adapted to the recipient and situation
- master English in speech and writing
- has good computer skills and easily adapts to new computer systems as the computer is your main working tool
- is service-oriented, has good social skills, and contributes to a good working environment.
It is meritorious if you have:
- work experience from administrative work within the Swedish Courts, law firms, or other authorities deemed relevant for the position
- an interest in actively participating in the digital working methods at the court
- experience in administrative processing in public operations, which also includes independent decision-making and teamwork.
It may also be meritorious if you have additional language skills.

As you represent the authority outwardly, you must be able to instill confidence, handle varying workloads, and stressful contacts. During periods of higher workload, it is important that you can structure and prioritize your work.
To succeed in the position, you need to be quick to learn new tasks and enjoy handling several different aspects of the work. The work requires you to be a skilled and responsible administrator. The employment places high demands on collaboration skills, sense of responsibility, flexibility, efficiency, and accuracy.
